BLAC Film Fest, a celebration of Black-led cultural entities shaping legacy work in Oakland in new, dynamic ways.

Thank you to everyone who had 50 Juneteenth events to choose from, (including the Ryan Coogler event up the street), but still chose to rock with BLACspace. We see you, and we appreciate you.

To our festival collaborators, Negus in Nature and Black Fiber and Textile Network,  thank you again for gracing the screen with your beautiful films. And to our brilliant panelists: Sasha Kelley, Korise Jubert III, Noni Sessions, Shogun Shido, and Ari Curry; we’re grateful for the wisdom and spirit you brought to the conversation. You rounded out the evening with so much insight and soul.
